2022 Food-Lover Holiday Gift Guide

Back again with another food-inspired gift guide for the food lover, home chef or wannabe cook in your life!

The Baking Queen herself, Erin Jeanne McDowell, released her 3rd cookbook this year called Savory Baking and it is a masterpiece! If you have a baker or an aspiring baker in your life, I would put this at the top of your gift list. If could also be good for that one friend/family member who always brings the sides to a dinner party or someone who really likes to host!

I think this Le Creuset Serving Tray is the perfect gift for the person in your life that loves to entertain or have people over for food! This is super versatile in use, and classic in style. Also, who doesn’t love a Le Creuset item?!

I think these Jacquard Napkins from Anthropologies are really cute and I love that they are a set of 6 instead of 4. This would be a great stocking stuffer, white elephant gift or a smaller gift for one of the 8 nights of Hanukkah. I think anyone would love to receive these and you are helping the environment by making less paper towel waste!

One of my favorite artists, Tani Greenspan has a whole collection of restaurant matchbox watercolors that would be the perfect personalized gifts for the person in your life that loves going to restaurants. She has matchbox collections for a lot of the major cities, including DC, New York, New Orleans, and more!

Another one of my favorite and most-used cookbooks this year is Melissa Clark’s newest cookbook Dinner in One, which makes dinner ideas so easy! All of these recipes are super approachable and can be adapted as needed. I would recommend this for any home cooks, fans of the New York Times Cooking Channel or App and or anyone that needs a bit of dinner inspo.

I love these Staub Rectangular Ceramic Baking Dishes as a gift because they can be used for baking or cooking! They are super good quality and come in a variety of colors and a set of one, two or three. They also look great!

Who doesn’t love soup dumplings or chili oil? If you answered “a lot of people in my life” then you probably need new friends. I think anyone would love to be surprised with a freezer stock up of frozen Soup Dumplings by Fly by Jing. Pair that wiht some of their hot sauce and you have a wonderful gift. I would send this to a long-distance friend or family member for a fun surprise!

I love the idea of a serving board because they can be used to serve or as a nice cheese board! I think these Olive Wood Serving Boards on Food52 are super cute and timeless but you can find these anywhere at a range of prices and made out of different material!

Have a friend who loves a good farmer’s market? How about a great quality tote from LL Bean that will stand the test of time? These totes are super sturdy and you can pick from a variety of sizes! I think this would make a great gift because it is not something someone may necessarily buy for themselves!

Now I don’t celebrate Christmas or have a Christmas Tree at home, but if I did, my tree would be covered with these Vintage-Inspired Food Ornaments. They are so fun and cute and it is a cute way to get something playful, well priced and personal for someone in your life with a tree! Sur la Table also has a bunch of food ornaments and I am especially obsessed with this Deviled Egg Platter, this PopTart, this packet of Ramen and this pickle.

One last thing, with inflation being VERY real, I think a gift card to a grocery store, such as a Trader Joe’s gift card or Whole Foods gift card would go a really long way!
