Pecan Pie

Ingredients:

  • 1 stick of unsalted butter; melted

  • 1 cup of white sugar

  • 4 eggs

  • 2 tsp of vanilla extract

  • 1 cup of corn syrup

  • 1 cup of pecans

  • 1/2 cup of chocolate chips

  • 2 9-inch frozen pie crusts

Preheat the oven to 350F and place the two frozen pie crusts on a sheet pan.

In a large bowl, mix the butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla and corn syrup until you have a slurry. Fold in the pecans and chocolate chips.

Fill the two pie crusts evenly and bake for about 50 minutes. Let cool completely and serve.

Note: I like this pie when it is very cold, so I keep mine in the fridge/freezer.
