“my version” of Miznon’s grean beans

Ingredients:

  • 1 package of green beans (about 12 oz.)

  • 2 cloves of garlic; minced

  • Zest of 1 lemon

  • Juice of 1/2 of a lemon (use the same one as above)

  • 1 tbsp (good quality) olive oil

  • 1/4 tsp of kosher salt

  • 1/4 tsp of pepper

  • Optional: sprinkle of sesame seeds

In a large pot (or large enough to fit your green beans), bring some salted water to a boil. When your water comes to boil, add in your green beans in and boil for about 4 minutes. Immediately pull your green beans out (after 4 minutes) or drain them into a strainer and rinse with cold water.

Place your luke warm green beans into a large mixing bowl and toss them with all the other ingredients (garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper). Taste and adjust any seasonings.

Serve at room temp with a sprinkle of sesame seeds on top (optional).
